The group library and Mothers Direct sales box are available at most meetings.

Topics are decided in advance during a planning get-together before each bulletin (anyone can come), and advertised in the diary dates. The person leading the discussion is generally a trained breastfeeding counsellor. Sometimes we invite a guest speaker who might talk about other aspects of caring for babies and toddlers; perhaps a teacher of sign language for babies, a relationship counsellor or a health professional. We sometimes meet for other events in different venues, such as a playgroup, a splash with the kids at the pool, a clothes-and-toys swap-meet or a restaurant dinner. Some gatherings are in the evening, to make it possible for people who work during the day to attend. We run a feed and change space at occasional special events such as the Canberra Show and the Charnwood Carnival, for anyone who wants to help out and get some free tickets. Anyone can participate in whichever of these activities that they want to.

We love to see new faces, and of course, kids are very welcome and there are many other children (and their toys) to play with. Lots of babies, toddlers and preschoolers also make friends at ABA get-togethers.
