The Mt. Rogers Group is located in Belconnen, on the north side of Canberra, incorporating the areas of Kaleen, Giralang, Evatt, Spence, Fraser, Charnwood, Dunlop, Melba, McKellar & Flynn. We are a group of mothers, partners, professionals and other members of the community who believe that human milk is a wonderful beginning for all children.

We promote and support breastfeeding to children of all ages and provide ongoing support and friendship to our members. We have approximately 14 active members and generally hold about three meetings a month. These meetings are held at a member's home and are either held as a morning discussion or an evening one.

We have seven qualified breastfeeding counsellors, one trainee and three community educators (CEs).

We are active in our community by contributing to breastfeeding education classes, antenatal presentations, visiting the local hospital maternity ward and participating in regional events. One of our members is the National Coordinator for The Breastfeeding-Friendly Workplace Accreditation, which encourages participating employers to provide a clean and safe environment for a working mother to express and/or continue to breastfeed in the workplace.
