Gone but not forgotten
Armand Coutier
Armand was a satyr of the world—a
socialite and niteclub owner from New York who
suddenly turned up in Canberra, with flashy car and glitzy clothing and was
killed during an attack by a nightmare nervosa generated by the Baroness
Rhiannon. Mary Burnett ensured that Redjack and Sir
Tristan was blamed for his death, although later they
were cleared of this charge.
Current Status: Dead
Bertram
Randell
Bertram is a fireman in human society. In
February 2003 he defeated in single combat a fire elemental who
had caused havoc in the dry western reaches of Canberra. In Fae
society Sir Bertram was a part of the Griffin’s Wing Oathcircle
and is currently squired to the Sidhe knight Sir Tristan. Hi multiple heroic deed include snatching an ally from literally between the
jaws of a dragon, and being an Accordance war veteran. Only recently knighted
by the Undone Countess Madeliene, he lives at Rose
Cottage. Bertram has a slightly complicated relationship with the old man (see
Ancient Evil from Beyond Time) and a fairly straightforward one with Hannah McCready, his recently wedded wife. And here's a picture
Notable Features Squire and currently dauntain
Bob Smith
Bob Smith is still a bit of a mystery. He
attended Bluetear as his
Chancellor and Lady Ariel as her Vizier: obviously Bob likes power. Bob
appeared to be a kinain of some variety, possibly
Sidhe, but there was always something odd about his appearance that never
seemed ‘quite right’. He was a member of the old court, or so he said. Bob
vanished after the Battle with the Old Man
Notable Features: Cherished, Trusted
Bonnie La Chatte
Bonnie was a Persian cat Pooka, delicate,
well groomed and destined for stardom. She was fleeing an arranged marriage to
Burt the Bulldog Pooka, who she saw as sweet, but completely unsuited to the
image she wished to create for her future career. After acknowledging that her
attempt to survive in the world alone had failed she has returned home to
England.
Current Status: Inactive
Black Jess
Black Jess was a member of the Court of Caer Tagharim before the banality
wave of 1999 hit. She was a wild child, tamed by the renowned knight, Sir Krellian, and taken as a squire by this worthy gentleman.
After spending 3 years in a coma in a mental asylum, she has come out of the
experience less carefree.
Status: Squire
Caitlin
Owner of "Ratty
Books", a bookshop with an extensive secondhand
section. Katie is rather
skittish and quite nervous, but friendly when you get to know her.
Current Status: Inactive
Cat
Very little is known about the Cat, or 'Kitty' as he is sometimes known other than his
fondness for trickery. He is often found hanging around the Gryphon's Wing Oathcircle, usually trying to push the Lady Trina away from
Sir Tristan. Some of the more mundane rumours about him suggest his real name
is James and that his father is a very rich man, who made his money through the
Canberra Milk Company.

Dragon Girl(?)
There is a great deal of information known
about this young woman - unfortunately most of it seems to conflict with the
rest. She most frequently claims to be a Dragon Pooka, although such things are
rarely dreamed possible. The scales, wings, penchant for gathering shiny things
and ability to morph out into a giant dragon do seem to support this claim. But
still - there must be some kind of catch. Some call her Carolyn, some call her
Jill or Helen or Anne, some have just given up trying to figure out who she is
and what her name is and just take her calming presence when offered. The
things that seem most commonly spoken about her indicate that she has some sort
of relationship with the Dauntain Baron Silas the Bat
Pooka, and was a member of his Freehold before the
Banality Wave of 1999. She still resides within that Freehold and is an almost
constant companion to the new Baron Burt.
Current Status: Inactive
Erina Glimmerwing
Erina has had a sad past, losing her
husband and child within weeks of one another a decade ago, the husband leaving
of his free will, but the daughter was kidnapped. She has spent the intervening
time searching for her stolen daughter, Nahren—wandering
the length and breadth of the world, facing dangers untold, until she arrived
in Canberra to find her beloved daughter willingly bound in cold iron and
convinced that all Eshu should live chained so they
weren't a danger to society. After the Lady of the Lake stepped in and healed Nahren, she has finally started to know some happiness.
Countess Madeliene Darcy ap
Fiona
The Countess Madeliene
came to Canberra from Adelaide, where she was known as one of the more powerful
of the Unseelie Court that predominates there. Her
dealings while ruling Canberra were trusted by some and not by others, but she
did effect a great change in Fae society in Canberra,
using her disciplinarian skill to bring the unruly mob into line. She was
underdone at the hands of Count Sariel, when both
were left alone while Unseelie and their
"beasts" came to the fore.

Eno
Eno was friend and trusted protector to the Sluagh
Shade. When Shade fell under the sleeping curse that associated at the time
with the rulership of Canberra, Eno ran away, never
to be seen again.
Current Status: Inactive
Great-Aunt Mima
Great-Aunt Mima,
an artist and chef in the real world, originally came to Canberra to help her neice Charlie run a pub out near Tidbinbilla.
But Charlie ran afoul of the homicidal Mary Burnett and was brutally murdered
and posted to the Fae of Canberra in small boxes. Mima decided to stay in Canberra to help those Fae that were lost and helpless. With Sir Tristan's help
she purchased a pub in Murrumbateman, which served as a haven for Changlings for several months. In February 2003, she began
to act listless eventually leaving town with very little explanation.
Current Status: Inactive
Gwylyyr/John Stankovizk
Gwylyyr is the steadfast, practical and mercenary type of
Nocker that is willing to be involved in any scheme, the crazier the better,
particularly if he stands to gain from it. His human side, however, does not
seem to be at peace with his Fae side—in fact, it
seems to be an entirely different person.
Commoner Status: none
Hawthorn
Hawthorn is Raziel's
often ignored companion, serving this troubled Sidhe as bodyguard, friend,
squire and sometimes servant. While Raziel remembers
little from their time together, it appears that Hawthorn has spent all the
years since the Sidhe returned to this world searching for Raziel
and swears he will continue to serve until his debt is paid seven times over.
Commoner Status: none
Josh Silvermane
Joshua is generally quiet, unless there is
something that he strongly believes in. He is fascinated by birds, not at all
fond of cats and he gets along very well with young of all kinds. He was a childling in the old Court, but when the Banality wave
struck he was on the outskirts of Canberra and so rathe than being placed into
a coma, his Fae seeming was put into a slumber, deep
within him, only resurfacing when the Banality was removed from Canberra. He
now serves as Squire to Count Sariel.
Status: Squire
Karl Jarlsson
Karl is old school when it comes to both
honour and procedure, where knights were real knights and there was adventure
around every corner. He came to Canberra to visit his friends in the Gryphon's
Wing Oathcircle and share his tales with the Canberran court. He was so distressed at the court's
general lack of propriety that he could not bear to live among them, but
knowing they would need his knowledge, he decided to remain in the region and
educate all those who would seek him out. He is also, sometimes, the owner of
the magical, mystical "Sometimes Sword".
Current Status: Dead
Kevin Ramsay
Kevin was a Nocker Kinain, crippled early
in life and unable to use his legs, that is until he was gifted by his inventor
grandmother, Amberyl, with a fantastic chimerical
suit that gave him the power of his hero, Spiderman. If it proved to be his
undoing, as he was badly injured when it went insane and tried battling the Canberran Fae to stop a ritual
aimed at removing the Banality from the town. He was taken to Adelaide for
treatment, where he now remains with his family.
Current Status: Inactive
Kiren
Kiren serves as Squire to Sir Tristan and is a member of
the Gryphon's Wing Oathcircle. He is the debonair
type with a flair for the dramatic, and is always willing to join in on an
adventure, particularly where there is something to be gained from it.
Status: Squire
Maelstrom
Maelstrom was known in the mortal world as
Hugh Murphy, although few knew much about his mortal seeming other than the
fact that he came from Darwin and had a brother called James that he seemed
very worried about, and occasionally a little frightened of. He spent much of
his time in Fae society, helping out with his odd
creations. He gradually began slipping towards his dark side, as his breaches of
the Escheat became more frequent. He ended up killing the Dauntain
John Wright and his partner, Mary Burnett, and also the old Ghille
Dhu that came to prosecute Orion/Spinifex. The Fae of Canberra tried to help him, but it was a case of too
little, too late. He was eventually eaten by the Sphynx
who at the time was found guarding Enverona Freehold.
Noone ever found out why and his companion Fennix the cat eventually faded back into the Dreaming.
Current Status: Dead
Morning's Light on Fire Mountain
This cute little purple dragon, while only
be three inches tall, has the heart the size of a mountain and the dedication
to match. He appeared around about the time of a large Anime festival in
Canberra and claims to be seeking to help to rescue the princess from the Black
Knight. He has since successfully completed his quest and returned to his
realm
Mary Burnett
Mary was, for many years, the partner of
John Wright, a Pooka Dauntain. John had specially
designed the perfect trap to torture Changelings—a circus where glamour
overlaid Banality and special lures where designed to trap the unwary Fae. When John was killed by the Fae,
Mary was left to her own devices and she proceeded to haunt the Fae who had taken away her perfect life. She cause great
trouble in their lives, and was eventually struck down by Maelstrom and Yoshinomi after she killed Charlie the pub owner and mailed
her back to them in tiny pieces. However, her legacy lives on in the form of a
widespread newspaper advertisement: "Wanted Ms Dawn Tane,
for hunting party in Canberra".
Current Status: Dead
Nahren
Nahren lived her short and troubled life fully within the
Fae world. Captured when she was a toddler and stolen
from Africa to Europe, she was caged, bound in cold iron and raised as an
animal, serving her masters as a means of transport through the Dreaming. She
was trained to believe that this was a proper way for Eshu
to live. She was brought to Canberra by Sir Stavros Yosmedes and left there after his death. The Lady of the
Lake healed her, but removed all memories of her previous life. She now lives
with her mother, Erina Glimmerwing and seems to be a
relatively normal Eshu childling.

Rhiannon Mordwyn ap Fiona
The Baroness Rhiannon began ruling Enverona freehold when she was a childling,
taking over when Elsbeth left to marry Count Sariel. It was rumoured that she has a tragic past, abused
by her father and then she was committed to an insane asylum in her early
teens, shortly after the Banality Wave struck. After a brief period of serving
Canberra as Baroness, once rescued from the asylum, she was captured by her Dauntain father and Undone by Banality at the hands of her
brother. In the rescue that followed this, she was nearly killed, losing her
hand to a fireman's axe. Orion married her mortal remains, Rita Kirzweiler. And here's a
picture
Current Status: Undone
Robbo
Robbo was never one for the Fae
world, entangled as he was in his mortal interests. He came from a working
class background and in Canberra worked as a union representative for the CPSU.
He gradually withdrew from Fae society, until his
murder, at the hands of unknown assailants in February 2003.
Current Status: Dead
Count Sariel Rhys ap Fiona
Sariel ruled Canberra for over 30 years, while not ageing
a day. He seemed to have suffered greatly from the ravages of Banality while in
a coma in the Holt asylum. One of his first acts of returning was the Undoing
of the Countess Madeleine, an act that was certainly not in keeping with his
previous character. He has also refused to take the rulership of Canberra,
instead serving as Regent until another can be found to take his place. He is
married to Elsbeth the Ghille
Dhu and has an infant son. And here's a
picture
Status: Count
Scribbler Whistlegums
In the mortal world, Robert Du Prie works as a librarian. His love for books follows into
his Fae life, in which he spends much of his time
bringing truly to children through stories and imagination. His most treasured
possession is an antique feathered quill that writes as he dictates. He
occasionally whispers about one day starting an antique bookshop or perhaps a
children's library. He at one point took on the role of Court Scribe at Caer Taghairm.
Shade
Shade is Druscilla's
nephew and definitely the black sheep of the family. He followed the Gryphon's
Wing Oathcircle around, causing trouble for them when
he could. Some say he was always bad, but Druscilla
swears he must have been lead astray. His bad deeds came to a close when he
took the Barony of Enverona from the sleeping
Baroness and took her place under the curse that prevailed at the time. He was
released from this some months later when another took the Freehold's rulership
from him. He was placed in his Aunt's care, but snuck out late one night and
has not been seen since.
Current Status: Inactive
Baron Silas
Before the Banality wave in 1999, Baron
Silas ruled the Court of Khantabahl for nearly 30
years. He had a Nocker wife who was killed by the same effect that put him in a
coma for 3 years. He has risen from this to discover his ex-Squire, Redjack, ruling his Freehold and his Granddaughter the
lizard pooka, claiming to be a dragon.
Status: Dead
Sir Stavros Yosmedes
Sir Stavros was
a Ghille Dhu, sent to
Canberra to ask for justice for Orion, known here as Spinifex, for crimes he
had committed against his own people in Greece. He was not satisfied in this
purpose, but was instead killed by a nightmare nervosa conjured by the Baroness
Rhiannon. He left behind his staff and his 'pet' Eshu
childling, Nahren. The
Staff was eventually returned to his people.
Current Status: Dead
Taron Clawfist
Taron was born into nobility, as few of the Commoner
Kiths are, as the son of the previous Count of Caer
Taghairm. He served Count Sariel as Squire for
several years before the Banality wave put him into a coma. On awakening, his
personality seems a little changed and he now serves Baron Silas as Squire.
Status: Squire
Tirac
Few know much about Tirac
other than his great regard for the Countess Madeliene.
He served her in all things—in Canberra as Thane Captain—and following her Undoing, he claimed to have lost his True Love. He was last
seen driving towards Adelaide with Madeliene's mortal
seeming beside him.
Current Status: Inactive
Lady Trina of Cloud Castle
The lovely maid Trina is the perpetual
damsel in distress, always innocently getting herself into trouble. She married
the noble knight Sir Tristan on the misty shores of Enverona
Freehold in February 2003 and with him was the founder of the Gryphon's Wing Oathcircle, a group sworn to find the magical mystical Eversword.
It turned out, alas, that she was merely the seductive shell for a Ganconer, a soul-sucking predator out of the Dreaming, and
was dealt with at length.
T'Till
T’till is a member of the Gryphon's Wing Oathcircle and long-time companion to Drusilla. In the
mortal world he serves as a bodyguard to Lady Trina, but his true creative
genius comes fourth through his music, in his role as a mentor and bard in Fae society. And here's a
picture
Commoner Status: none
Yoshinomi
Yoshinomi was raised and trained in Japan as a heroic
swordsman, following the Bushido Code. He lived in Canberra for a brief period,
but was forced to leave when he was made an unwilling accomplice in the murder
of Mary Burnett.
Current Status: Inactive
Zindel
Little was known about this fun-loving
Satyr. In the mortal world he spent much of his time working as a DJ, while in Fae society he remained rather quiet.
