MY STORY

WELCOME TO MY FAMILY TREE AND HISTORY WEBSITE

This family history has been compiled over a number of years by Allyson Luders with the assistance of many people. A number of branches of the family have been published by other genealogy enthusiasts within the family. (Duffield, Milne, Menzel, Le Plastrier and Sherwood). I would like to thank everyone who has helped compile this information from close family members to distant cousins like Eddington (Ted) Sherwood.

This site is continually being updated. If you have a link to add to these pages, please contact Allyson. She would love to hear from you.

Allyson started constructing this family tree as a project for hight school when she was 16 years of age. Now (2003) at the age of 40, the tree continues to grow in fits and starts. Recently (1999) Allyson married Peter Skeen and so a whole new branch was added to the tree. Currently the family tree contains almost 9,000 individual names thanks to the addition of Peter's family history.

The Ancestry is very diverse with families from England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany and Prussia. The focus of most of the tree is Australia where Allyson and most of her family reside. But she is always looking to progress the tree back in time and then sideways.

This Web site contains a variety of information on the family as more informaion comes to light. They include Military Records ( thanks to the Australian War Memorial and the Connomwealth Graves Commission), personal histories where they have been recorded, photographs of family members that can be identified, information on places of origin, a list of the most distant of ancestors, information within the family tree, links to other sites and an opportunity to contact me for more information or to add to what I already have on the web site or my personal database.

I hope you enjoy this site and find some links and useful information.

Happy Hunting

Allyson Luders
