- The Frost Hollow to Forest Walk brochure has been extended for the kit to include reference to the web-based activity sheets at appropriate points in the walk. It is now expected that school groups will break into small groups (max 8 per group) at the start of the walk to do selected activities of their choice. - A ‘who am I’ activity is on the web. - The closing date for the art competition is extended to 30 May. An ad is in Holiday Happenings. The School of Art and art societies have been given entry information again. - The website now has a link to the art competition information on its entry page. - The wording of the copyright clause will be softened (without changing the effect) to read that artwork entered in the competition is donated to FoAB for its exclusive use. FoAB will return artwork that will not be used on its promotional material for the Aranda Snow Gums and Bushland. - Local botanical artist Michael Beddington has agreed to donate a line drawing contrasting the Aranda woodland and forest. - Black Mountain school has done the work but artwork has yet to be submitted. |

Waterwatch experts will provide activity sheets and equipment for Waterwatch activities in the Aranda Bushland and at the Aranda Snow Gums. E.g. containers, strainers, tweezers, identification key for freshwater invertebrates, observation cards, rope or cord, Ph sticks, thermometers, nets, magnifying glasses); assist with activities on request in voluntary capacity. Links will be placed on the website to Waterwatch and other relevant sites. |
